The Broadband Bunch is excited to announce the first release of The Periodic Table of Broadband Tools. This interactive guide is designed to help service providers quickly and easily understand the categories of software tools needed to design, build, operate and enhance broadband services.

“Building and operating broadband networks is a daunting task for any size organization or municipality. Additionally, there is an onslaught of innovation directed toward helping network operators improve their operations. The Periodic Table attempts to synthesize information not currently found in a single location and to match a network operator’s need with potential solutions,” said Joe Coldebella, Broadband Bunch Brand Manager.

This guide is not intended as a recommendation or endorsement of any software product, we are simply beginning the process of organizing the vast landscape of software tools and vendors. It is our intention to make the guide as useful and comprehensive as possible. We are working with the ecosystem to review the categories, include more software tools and provide additional information. If you have software products that could be added, please email us your input here.

How it works

The guide is designed to illustrate the landscape of all software products that could be employed over the lifecycle of a broadband network, from design to optimization. The products are organized by category in which you can filter the tools to see the solutions within a specific category.

By selecting any of the elements, we provide a short summary of the product, identifying the company that offers that product as well as links to the product website.

In future releases of the Table, we plan to provide resources for each solution as well as additional relevant information. If you have suggestions regarding product information, we would love your input. Email us here.
